Tom Christmann's ability to find the Big Idea and tell a brand story comes from 20 years of experience as a creative at some of the best agencies in New York. But it is his passion for social and the power of networks that led him to become the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of MONGO INDUSTRIES, a coalition of freethinking marketing professionals (Tom calls MONGO a "strike force for awesomeness in brand communications.")
Prior to "going rogue", Tom was the Group Executive Creative Director in charge of Cadbury and Bloomberg at JWT in New York City. Before that, he was the ECD at Cliff Freeman & Partners, where he helped bring Cliff’s unique brand of impactful storytelling into the digital age on brands like Quiznos and Baskin Robbins.
Tom was an award-winning Creative Director at Taxi, BBDO, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners. But he credits his first job in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather Direct with giving him an appreciation for proven results and new technologies. He also once rode an elevator alone with David Ogilvy.
Tom has won Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Webbies, Effies, Clios, a Favorite Website Award and several games of Words With Friends. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
